A bet app is a native iOS or Android application built specifically for mobile devices, offering a streamlined betting experience with features like live betting, push notifications, and biometric authentication, connecting directly to the sportsbook's servers and geolocation services.

How do bet apps make money?

Bet apps make money primarily through the 'vig' or 'juice,' a built-in house edge on every bet. They also profit from the difference between opening and closing odds, marketing promotions that attract more players, and potentially higher margins on less popular bets like parlays and props. Volume of transactions is key, as the small edge on each bet compounds into significant revenue.

What should I look for when choosing a bet app?

When choosing a bet app, consider these key criteria: 1. Licensing and security (legal operation in your state). 2. Odds competitiveness and market variety. 3. User interface and experience (speed, navigation, design). 4. Live betting functionality and streaming options. 5. Deposit/withdrawal methods and speed. 6. Welcome bonuses and ongoing promotions (check terms carefully). 7. Customer support quality and availability.
